PM to meet Bush in St. Petersburg | | Manmohan Singh |
Monday, July 17, 2006 (08:37:41) : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to flag India's concerns over certain aspects of the US legislation for civilian nuclear cooperation between the two countries when he meets American President George W Bush in St Petersburg on Monday. The 40-minute meeting between Singh and Bush at Konstantinovsky Palace on the sideline of the G-8 summit will be crucial before the US Congress votes on the legislation. This will be the first interaction between the two leaders since Bush's visit to India in March this year.
The two leaders will review the developments since the US leader's visit to India. Progress of the US legislation for granting permanent waivers for nuclear commerce with India will also figure during the meeting, the Prime Minister said. (PTI)
